about

I dove into the art of quilting during the summer of 2002. I had a lot of free time so I decided to dust off my mom’s old Singer to see if I could teach myself a thing or two. The constant issues led to a visit to the Viking gallery and a brand new White within a month. I’ve since upgraded and currently use a Viking Designer I.

I began by poring over every book and article about beginner’s quilt I could get my hands on. I love putting many individual pieces together to create a beautiful, useful item.

Quilting is such a rewarding experience and I enjoy seeing the faces of friends and family who have received my quilts as gifts. Quilting then progressed to sewing anything and everything under the sun. I love to try new things and am inspired by all the people I meet. Recently I’ve been hooked on clothing and accessories and constantly have a stack of UFOs to work on (who doesn’t?? :) ).

I love cooking new recipes and ice cream is sure to make my day better. I’m hooked on numbers, love to ponder rhetorical questions and am an avid fan of sarcasm and the Phillies. I’m also an active member of Handmade Philly, the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, and VolkLibre!
